Virtuonic Project focuses on the potential role of new forms of immersive and interactive visualization technologies in Virtual Humans (VH) and the development of empathy and consequent social action. We will create multiple VH experiences in partnership with social issue organizations and key VH technology and content companies. Each experience will focus on a specific social issue of local, national, or global significance. Our goals are to identify ways that VH can affect behavior in all aspects of life, institutions, and government, and create best practices for the use of VH to foster increased social action.
