MWW Research Association: Digital Research Infrastructure
Computer-based methods have now become indispensable in humanities research. Primary and secondary sources can be accessed as originals or as substitutes in digital form. Accordingly, digital techniques suggest themselves for analytical processes and other forms of use or presentation. The research association will develop a common infrastructure for deploying modern information technologies. Scholarly work and the publication and storage of its results will be placed on a new footing. In this area, the research association is persuing three joint projects (Data Modelling and Metadata, Construction of a Virtual Research Enviroment, Construction of a Digital Preservation System).
