Interdisciplinary collaboration is the key for solving complex tasks. However, communication and working processes within such collaborations are also highly complex and dynamic. The ID+Lab seeks to explore the forms of interdisciplinarity in order to understand, visualize and test them. To this end, the team developed the ID+Model which lays down important elements for describing interdisciplinary collaborations, such as actors and relations. The ID+Model provides an analysis, that reveals structural characteristics and deficits thereby making it possible to exploit and increase existing potential. The ID+Model enables an in-depth look into these structures and new possibilities to shape interdisciplinary projects.
