Funding: EADH calls for Knowledge Transfer Bursaries proposals
EADH seeks to award a minimum of 10 Knowledge Transfer Bursaries of up to £450 in 2017. We particularly seek to support members of the EADH community with limited access to financial resources.
Eligible applicants are students and those early in their careers at academic and/or charitable organisations who are members of EADH and within 5 years of receiving their most recent academic qualification.
Bursaries must be used for travel to destinations within Europe (including Russia) to visit an individual, organisation or institution with specific DH expertise that will aid in their research/work. The purpose of travel must be to carry out a specific programme of 'knowledge transfer' in which one or both parties are able to learn new skills, methods or technologies. Bursaries may not be used for general attendance activities (such as conferences, workshops and summer schools). Preference will be given to international travel.
Bursaries will be prioritised on an equal balance of merit, financial need, cost effectiveness and cross-border travel. Successful applicants are expected to write a short report of the visit and submit receipts in order to receive reimbursement.
To apply, you should submit a 2-page rationale that describes:
- Who/where you will visit
- What you intend to learn
- How it will impact your research/work
- A breakdown of the overall cost, and the amount being requested
- A statement of personal income (stipend or salary).
- A statement as to other sources of institutional and national funding available and whether they have been applied for.
You must also provide a letter of support from the person/institution you wish to visit confirming the level of interaction/support they will be able to provide. While the rationale should be written in English, supporting documents may be in other languages as appropriate.
Applications must be submitted no later than midnight GMT, February 26, 2017 to l.isaksen@lancaster.ac.uk.
