elib.at eLibrary Project

elib

The eLib Project is a free online-text repository for scientists and students. Since 2006 we digitize and provide access to public domain content as well as content still under copyright protection (rights granted for scientific and private use). We also team up with educators to provide content collection pages in support of university courses.

We focus on digitizing content from Austrian libraries and institutions. You will find official documents, books, letters, scientific papers, art and literature and a lot of background information. Texts are in German, some of them do have an English translation attached. There are also some foreign language articles in the database.

The project is hosted at the university of vienna and is mainly maintained by volunteers from academic institutions, both students and teachers, and interested individuals.
