Digital Humanities: Visibility and Diffusion of the Investigation (23rd and 24th of May, 2013 in Pamplona, Spain)

GRISO, Investigation Group of the Golden Age, invites to the participation on the International Conference «Digital Humanities: Visibility and Diffusion of the Investigation», which will take place on the 23rd and 24th of May, 2013 in Pamplona, Spain.

The submission of abstracts includes but not limited to the following:

  • Social Network – General and academic blogging, which constitute an important passage of information and the sharing of our work between colleagues from around the world as well as a fundamental source of reliable information for the general public.
  • Digital Journal – The important visibility of our academic investigation is made possible through the fortification of the digital journals in the Internet. We wish to view a panoramic aspect of today’s situation and the actual projects as well as reviewing the requirements for the facilitation of the indexation of the journals.
  • Digital Editions – The rising importance of the e-books are to be considered and consolidated in the publication space in Humanities. By extending the curation of humanities digital resources into the digital market and future possibilities will be our aide in the survival the present changing world.
  • Diffusion of the investigation / Visibility / Digital Libraries – Publication data banks, data mining, academic repositories, online publication, Open Access material etc., bring together the work of humanities research and provide a way for us to familiar our investigation. Also, a somewhat rising implication for that openness is the legal implications that difficult our advance.

«Digital Humanities: Visibility and Diffusion of the Investigation» is an international congress open to all fields of Humanities, with the participation of researchers and Investigation groups that wish to cooperate and engage in the digital and technological integration. In Spain, the relative tardiness of technology in certain areas in Humanities is noticeable and requires a change towards openness and the sharing of knowledge and investigation. That we wish to achieve in this congress with a large spectrum of interest with the common goal of taking one step further in the apprehension of the diffusion and sharing of our investigation.

The talks should be at the normal duration of 20 minutes with some debate time in the end of the session.

The registration fee is 150 Euros for active participation and 80 Euros for the rest, the fee includes two launch. The works will be published in the on-line digital publication «Publicaciones digitales del GRISO».

The final date for the registration is April 15 2013.
