'ALLC: The European Association for Digital Humanities' is the new name of our association!
The executive committee suggested the new name in early Dec. 2011 in an effort to reflect the real scope of the association's work, interests and advocacy.
This had broadened beyond the earlier name's focus on literature and linguistics. The executive committee posted the name-change proposal on the association's site (this site!) later that month, and discussed it with the trustees and with the ADHO steering committee. The association's general meeting unanimously approved the change on July 18, and it's now been
officially accepted by the UK Charities Commission.
