Wendy Anderson
Wendy Anderson is Professor of Linguistics in the School of Critical Studies and also Assistant Vice Principal (Learning and Teaching) at the University of Glasgow, UK. Her research and teaching interests include corpus linguistics, semantics, intercultural language education, and translation. From 2004-2008, she was Research Associate for the Scottish Corpus of Texts & Speech and Corpus of Modern Scottish Writing projects, and from 2012-2016, she was Principal Investigator of the Mapping Metaphor with the Historical Thesaurus project, all funded by the UK AHRC. She has a PhD in French linguistics and an MA in French and Spanish from the University of St Andrews. Wendy is an Associate Editor of DSH: Digital Scholarship in the Humanities.
