Leif Isaksen

Leif Isaksen is a Senior Lecturer in Spatial History and Digital Humanities at Lancaster University. He has initiated several ongoing communities in Digital Humanities, including InterFaceAntiquist and The Networks Network. He is also a former member of the Computer Applications in Archaeology Steering Committee (2009-2011) and Treasurer of the International Society for the History of the Map. He is Project Director of the Pelagios Commons and has a particular interest in geospatial and Web technologies and the Ancient World, with research on spatial visualisation of online corpora, linking open data about the past, and deconstructing Ptolemy's Geography and the Roman Itineraries.
