Isabel Galina

Isabel Galina is a researcher at the Institute for Bibliographic Studies at the National University of Mexico UNAM. Current research is on the creation, dissemination and use of primary electronic resources in the Humanities as well as working on the UNAM's institutional repository. Previously she has also worked on a series of projects related to digitization, digital libraries, information systems, electronic journals and repositories. She holds a PhD from University College London with a study on institutional repositories.
Over the past years,she has given courses and workshops on electronic publishing, ebooks, digital humanities and legal and social aspects of electronic publishing. One important area of interest is the development of information systems in Latin America. Other research interests include creation and use of electronic resources, information systems for managing digital information, the future of electronic publishing and digital visibility.

Isabel is an Associate Editor of a DSH: Digital Scholarship in the Humanities.
